What’s so great about Vista that it’s worth crippling my PC for?

The rationale of investing in a machine with at least 5 times the processing power, 4 times the RAM, 3 times the disk space, more modern and faster architecture, was all about getting some performance out of it. The reality is that my new PC with Vista on it is just as slow and tedious, and in some instances far worse. It still chugs for ages writing to the page file and it sometimes takes absurd lengths of time to do what you’d think are trivial things, like emptying the recycle bin. Read more.
