The problem is that Vista brings almost nothing to the table that can’t be described by as three year old as “shiny”. If this is all the billions, man-hours and years brought, what was the point? Vista LogoVista’s legal fine print includes extensive provisions granting Microsoft the right to regularly check the legitimacy of the software and holds the prospect of deleting certain programs without the user’s knowledge. During the installation process, users “activate” Vista by associating it with a particular computer or device and transmitting certain hardware information directly to Microsoft. Even after installation, the legal agreement grants Microsoft the right to revalidate the software or to require users to reactivate it should they make changes to their computer components. Vista LogoDoes moving to vista now make sense? Not for me. I think the technology in PC’s have flat lined for the average user, sure they are coming out with all kinds of Dual core, quad core, multitasking goodies. Motherboards can handle 4 gigs of RAM and you can run dual SLI video cards, do you really need that? Look at the computer that I built four years ago,it now resides at my mother’s house as her main PC. When I’m visiting her and using my old PC it still feels just as quick as my current system, for daily tasks. That’s a four year old computer. Read more.
